Thailand, Storms and Winds in Uthai Thani, Phetchabun, and Ubon Ratchathani

Uthai Thani Province: On 2 May 2026, storms affected 5 districts, 18 sub-districts, and 79 villages (Nong Chang, Thap Than, Sawang Arom, Huai Khot, and Lan Sak districts). A total of 846 houses, 3 schools, and 1 police station were damaged. There were no injuries or fatalities. Mr. Chaiyachet Thaiset, Deputy Minister of Interior, visited the affected area in Thap Than District along with the provincial governor to oversee response operations. Heavy machinery was deployed to clear debris and restore access as quickly as possible. Relevant agencies, including the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, district authorities, police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, and foundations, have provided initial assistance.
Phetchabun Province: On 2 May 2026, storms affected 1 district, 3 sub-districts, and 8 villages (Bua Watthana, Kong Thun, and Nong Phai sub-districts in Nong Phai District). A total of 28 houses were damaged. There were no injuries or fatalities. Relevant agencies have provided initial assistance.
Ubon Ratchathani Province: On 2 May 2026, storms affected 1 district, 1 sub-district, and 1 village (Daeng Mo sub-district, Khueang Nai District). A total of 5 houses were damaged. There were no injuries or fatalities. Relevant agencies have provided initial assistance.
