1.3 Windstorm
Thunderstorms, strong gusty winds, and hail occurred between 16–21 April 2026. Windstorm incidents were reported across 23 provinces (Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phetchabun, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Phanom, Buriram, Sisaket, Chaiyaphum, Sakon Nakhon, Yasothon, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Amnat Charoen, Mukdahan, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Roi Et, Udon Thani, Maha Sarakham, Prachin Buri, Saraburi, Lopburi, and Uthai Thani), affecting 103 districts, 236 sub-districts, and 686 villages. A total of 4,926 houses were damaged. There was 1 fatality (Kalasin Province, male, caused by lightning).
At present, the situation remains ongoing in 1 province (Udon Thani), affecting 5 districts, 11 sub-districts, and 28 villages, with 92 houses damaged, as follows:

Windstorm situations affected 22 provinces (Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Phetchabun, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Phanom, Buriram, Sisaket,
Chaiyaphum, Sakon Nakhon, Yasothon, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Amnat Charoen, Mukdahan, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Roi Et, Udon Thani,
Maha Sarakham, Prachinburi, Saraburi, Lopburi), 97 districts, 219 subdistricts, and 647 villages.
4,716 houses were damaged.
Currently, the situation persists in 3 provinces (Phetchabun, Maha Sarakham, Chaiyaphum), 11 districts, 19 subdistricts, and 47 villages.
276 houses were damaged as follows:
1) Phetchabun Province, on April 19, 2026, windstorms occurred in 7 districts and 13 subdistricts. 40 m. (approximately 8.4 hectares/units of land) including Si Thep District, Wichian Buri District, Bueng Sam Phan District, Nong Phai District, Chan Daen District, Mueang District, and Lom Sak District. Initially, 261 houses were damaged. There were no injuries or fatalities. The Phetchabun Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, the Provincial Electricity Authority, police officers, district officials, local administrative organizations, volunteer defense corps, and other volunteers, along with foundations and related agencies, have provided assistance.
