Description

Chanthaburi Province, July 29, 2026, 02:17 AM: Heavy rain caused flash floods in 2 districts, 3 sub-districts, and 10 villages.
These include Chaman and Pathawi sub-districts in Makham district, and Wangsanpharos sub-district in Khlung district. 18 households and 1 resort were affected.
20 tourists were also impacted. There were no injuries or fatalities. The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, Region 17 Chanthaburi, and the Chanthaburi Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office,
along with district officials, police officers, local administrative organizations, volunteers, disaster relief volunteers, foundations, and other relevant agencies, provided assistance.
They helped move belongings to higher ground and accelerated water drainage from the area. Currently, the situation persists in Chaman sub-district, Makham district, and Wangsanpharos sub-district.
In Khlung district, water levels have receded.
