Description
On 16 April 2026, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or
thunderstorms due to Localized thunderstorms prevailed over Metro Manila and the
rest of the country which may have brought possible flash floods or landslides during
severe thunderstorms.
On the same day, a big wave incident occurred along the coastal area of Brgy.
Kiobog, Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental. The incident resulted in damage to 21
houses, displacing a total of 36 families.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XI, in close coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU)
of Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental, immediately provided relief assistance to
address the immediate needs of the affected families and individuals.
