Coastal flooding due to high tidalwave

➢ Chronology: High sea tides occurred on September 17, 2024 at around 14.30 WIB and subsequent high tides on September 18 at 02.00 and 14.00 WIB in Bagan Kuala Village.

➢ Location:
● Tanjung Beringin District
- Bagan Kuala Village

➢ Casualties:
● 520 families affected
● 60 people displaced (data collection)

➢ Material Losses:
● 520 houses affected (data collection)

➢ Efforts:
● The BPBD team coordinated with the Village Head, Sub-district Head and PUTR Service at the disaster location.
● Data collection of victims affected and damage experienced.
● Assistance in cleaning building materials
● Logistical assistance by the Village Government, Sub-district and BPBD.

➢ Current Condition:
● Approximately 40 houses were buried by sand on the outer walls of their houses and some sand was carried into the house by the water.
