Description
On April 27, 2024, at 4:20 PM, certain barangays in Carmen, Cotabato Province encountered heavy rain accompanied by hailstones, attributed to the presence of easterlies and localized thunderstorms. Consequently, this weather event led to the destruction of several houses in the affected barangays.
In response, the DSWD through its Field Office in Region XII, together with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Carmen, North Cotabato, actively engaged in the response operation and promptly provided relief assistance to support the immediate needs of the affected families and individuals
There are 40 families or 120 persons temporarily staying with their relatives or friends (see Annex B).
