Description
Issued on 12 July 2026 at 4:00 AM, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated
rainshower or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms may have caused
possible flash flood or landslides during severe thunderstorms in Mindanao.
On the same day, severe localized thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall and strong
wind which caused flooding in the municipalities of Imelda and Siay, Zamboanga
Sibugay.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) IX, in close coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU)
of Zamboanga Sibugay, immediately provided relief assistance to address the
immediate needs of the affected families and individuals.
