Mt. Mayon has showing volcanic activity since 16 September 2014, and as of Sitrep no.12 from NDRRMC dated on 28 September 2014, Mt. Mayon is under Alert level 3 meaning the magma is at the crater and hazardous eruption is possible within weeks. several volcanic earthquakes and rockfalls events occurred in the past days. 3 cities and 5 municipalities under albay province were affected and 45 barangays were declared under state of calamities IMPACT 12,081 families or 55,703 persons affected 55,703 persons were evacuated to 44 evacuation centres RESPONSE NDRRMC with related response provided activities and options as emergency preparedness measure to this disaster while local authorities evacuated people and DSWD, OCD, DOH and NGO‘ provided assistance worth of approximately 265,000 USD
