Description

Chronology: On 15 January 2023 at 4:00 PM (Philippine time), the Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 175 km East Northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur or 245 km East of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. The Northeast Monsoon is currently affecting Extreme Northern Luzon.

Impact: A total of 347,105 families or 1,397,296 persons were affected. Of which, 38,108 families or 155,854 persons were served inside 489 ECs and 17,616 families or 56,086 persons were served outside ECs.

Damages: A total of 1,307 damaged houses are reported in Region 2, MIMAROPA, Region 5, Region 6, Region 8, Region 9, Region 10, Region 11, Region 12, CARAGA, BARMM

Casualties: A total of 28 dead, 11 injured, and 3missing persons were reported.

Lifelines: A total of 231 road sections and 55 bridges were affected. Below is the current status of affected road sections and bridges.
A total of 58 cities/municipalities were affected. Below is the current status of power supply.
A total of 16 cities/municipalities were affected. Below is the current status of water supply.
A total of 14 cities/municipalities were affected. Below is the current status of communication lines.
A total of 5 domestic flights and 0 international flights were cancelled.
A total of 26 seaports were affected.


A total of ₱50,591,083.07 worth of assistance was provided to the affected families; of which, ₱39,082,181.31 from DSWD, ₱11,213,942.00 from Local Government Units (LGUs), and ₱294,959.76 from other Partners
