Flash Flood Incidents in Tantangan, South Cotabato
I. Situation Overview
Issued on 13 May 2026 at 4:00 PM, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated
rainshowers or thunderstorms may have caused possible flash floods or landslides
during severe thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms across Metro Manila
and the rest of the country.
On the same day, continuous moderate to heavy rainfall caused flash floods in
several low-lying barangays in the Municipality of Tantangan, South Cotabato.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XII, continuously monitors and coordinates with the said affected
Local Government Unit (LGU) to assess the needs of the affected families and
individuals.
