Description
On September 15, 2025, at around 4:00 PM, Barangay Kayaga, Kabacan Cotabato Province experienced flash flood due to heavy rains brought by localized thunderstorms. On the same day, around 5:00 PM, another flash flood incident was also reported in Barangay Bukay Pait in Tantangan, South Cotabato caused by the same weather disturbance.
Furthermore, from 17 to 19 September 2025, flooding incidents occurred in several barangays of Kabacan and Tulunan, Cotabato and Midsayap, as well as in municipalities of President Quirino and Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat, due to heavy rains from localized thunderstorms.
RELATED INCIDENTS:
-A total of 19 flooded areas were reported. Of which, 12 have subsided, and 7 are receding.
AFFECTED POPULATION:
-A total of 6,161 families / 30,147 persons were affected. Of which, 62 families / 310 persons are currently staying in one (1) EC.
DAMAGE TO INFRASTRUCTURE:
-A total of 1 partially damaged infrastructure.
