Description
Issued on 20 May 2026 at 4PM, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain
showers or thunderstorms may have brought flash floods or landslides during severe
thunderstorms in Mindanao due to localized thunderstorms.
On the same day, continuous moderate to heavy rainfall brought about by localized
thunderstorms caused flooding in low-lying barangays in Pikit, North Cotabato.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XII, in close coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU)
of Pikit, North Cotabato, immediately provided relief assistance to address the
immediate needs of the affected families and individuals.
