Description
On August 18, 2023, heavy rains with strong winds occurred in Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental which resulted to uprooting of several trees in Brgy. Luzon including the centennial tree in Brgy. Magdug with 2 injured and 2 dead casualties. While on or about 6:30PM August 19, 2023, a flooding incident occurred in Monkayo, Davao de Oro and on or about 1:00am August 20, 2023 the same incident occurred in the Municipalities of Asuncion, New Corella, Dujali and Tagum City all in Davao del Norte Province caused by heavy rains due to effects of Southwest Monsoon.
- 27 flooded areas were reported in Davao del Norte (All have subsided)
- 7,609 families / 30,436 persons affected, of which 46 families/184 persons are currently staying in 1 EC.
- 2 dead persons and 2 injured persons
- 9 damaged houses (2-totally, 7-partially)
