Description

On 10 May 2026, Metro Manila and the rest of the country experienced partly cloudy
to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
These conditions posed risks of flash floods and landslides, particularly during
severe thunderstorms. On the same day, Brgy Basiawan and Sto. Rosario, Santa
Maria experienced flooding due to continuous rainfall and overflowing waterways
caused by Easterlies.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XI, is closely coordinating with the Local Government Unit (LGU)
of Santa Maria, Davao Occidental and ensures the availability of relief assistance to
address the immediate needs of affected families and individuals.
