Description
Issued on 08 April 2026 at around 4:00 AM, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with
isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms may have caused possible flash floods or
landslides during severe thunderstorms caused by Localized Thunderstorms in
Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
On the same day, a severe flooding incident were experienced at several Purrok
areas in Brgy. Tuban, Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur caused by heavy rainfall due to
Localized Thunderstorms. The floodwaters inundated the roadway and surrounding
residential areas.
In response, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through
its Field Office (FO) XI, in coordination with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of
Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur, immediately provided relief assistance to address the
needs of the affected individual.
