Description
On July 2023, the Municipality of Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental through its Municipal
Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) and in coordination with
the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) reported that families, mostly farmers or farm
workers, in several barangays have experienced the effects of dry spell.
As of 23 August 2023, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical
Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that moderate El Niño is present in the
tropical Pacific and will strengthen further in the coming months.
A total of 3,482 families or 17,410 persons were affected in 25 barangays in
Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental
