Typhoon Kalmaegi that crossed northern part of Lao PDR on 17 September 2014 has brought heavy rain that caused flash flood in 3 districts in Luangprabang Province. Additionally, 1 district in Bolikhamsay Province was also flooded due to the river overflow. IMPACT: - 2 Death - 16 Villages were flooded - 666 families were affected - 36 house were inundated RESPONSE - Disaster management Authority in the province continue to conduct damage assessment and distribute relief items in the affected areas.
