➢ Current Conditions:
● Based on atmospheric dynamics data on October 5, 2024, wind analysis was monitored at the 3000 feet layer at 12.00 UTC showing a wind convergence area extending from the West to the North of the Riau Islands, which caused the occurrence slowing of air masses thus increasing the potential for the growth of rain clouds in the Bintan Regency area and its surroundings.
● MJO is active in Phase 2: contributing to the process of rain cloud formation in the Indonesian region.
● Analysis of air humidity tends to be wet from the gradient layer up to 500 mb with a value of 60 - 100% supporting the increase in the growth of convective clouds.
● The spatial lability index which was monitored as moderately labile at 18.00 UTC has the potential to increase the activity of the growth of convective clouds around the Riau Islands area, especially Bintan Regency and its surroundings.
