Extreme Weather and Tornado Hit Grobogan Regency, Central Java
Heavy rain accompanied by a tornado struck Kramat Village, Penawangan District, Grobogan Regency, Central Java, on Sunday (March 2). The extreme weather event caused damage to dozens of houses and public facilities, affecting 55 households.
The Grobogan Regency BPBD has carried out evacuations, emergency response efforts, and provided essential supplies to affected residents.
In response to the disaster, the Local Government has declared an Emergency Alert Status for tornadoes, floods, and landslides in Grobogan Regency for 142 days, effective from November 10, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
