Description
Soputan, which located in South Minahasa, Province of North Sulawesi erupted again on 18 September 2012, around 09:30 GMT. The eruption created several strong tremors and 1500 meter‘ smoke blast. The last recorded eruption was on 26 September 2012. Its status remain the same: STANDBY - Level III. Based on the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), the communities were yet in the safe zone (6.5 kilometers away from the crater). Advisory not to have any human activity near the crater still is being imposed by the authority.
