● Based on the visual and instrumental monitoring results that show
there has been an increase in volcanic activity on Mt. Ruang then level
activity of Mt. Ruang was raised from Level II (Alert) to Level III
(Standby) starting April 16 2024 Pkl. 16:00 WITA
● Based on the visual and instrumental monitoring results that show
there has been an increase in volcanic activity on Mt. Space, then level
activity of Mt. Ruang was raised from Level III (SIAGA) to Level IV
(WARNING) starting April 17 2024 at 21.00 WITA

➢ Material Losses:
● Houses, public facilities & social facilities are still being collected
● The distribution of volcanic ash is widespread in 4 sub-districts in Kab. North Minahasa
➢ Effort:
● BPBD Kab. Sitaro coordinated with the Provincial BPBD. North Sulawesi uses
carry out monitoring and treatment that will be provided
● BPBD Kab. Sitaro carried out a rapid assessment, evacuation and preparation of facilities
evacuation in Kec. Tagulandang
● The people in Ds. Pathology & Etc. Pumpente is ready to be evacuated
to District. Tagulandang by boat by BPBD Kab. Sitaro
as well as related SKPD
● Preparation of Alut for the evacuation of 2 ferry boats (KMP. Lokong Banua &
KMP. Lohoraung) plus the residents' ferry boats
● The local BPBD provided assistance in the form of 123 mats, 120 pcs
blankets and 400 sheet masks
● BASARNAS has mobilized KN Bima Sena to assist with the evacuation
residents affected by the eruption of Mt. Room
● Basarnas team carries out logistics distribution to Kec. Tagulandang
● PVMBG appeals to the public to comply with radius 6
KM from the crater of Mt. The room must be sterile, because subsequent eruptions are possible

● BASARNAS Manado arrived in Tagulandang this morning, Wednesday 17 April 2024
with KM. BIMASENA with a personnel strength of 20 (ABK 15, Rescuer 5)
● Alternatives related to the expansion of the impact of the eruption will be used
houses of worship in the South Tagulandang & Tagulandang areas

Tagulandang, Village & Subdistrict officials, SatPol PP & DamKar &

● Sam Ratulangi Airport closure extended (Friday, April 19 2024,
Street vendors 06:00 - 18:00 WITA) because the volcanic ash plume is still active
● Smoke plumes are still visible high
● Tagulandang Port is currently open only for mobilization
evacuation and distribution of aid to affected communities
● Electricity & communication networks in Kp. Laing Patehi (Space Island) was completely destroyed
● Communication network in Ds. Lumbo has difficulty getting a signal
● Main Command Post has been established in Ds. Apengsala which is within a radius of ±15 KM
from the foot of Mt. Ruang.
Stone rain is still happening in Tagulandang Induk, which is directly opposite
directly with Mount Ruang.

OVERVIEW: Following recent activity of Ruang volcano since Tuesday, 16 April at 1600 HRS UTC+7, PVMBG elevated the status of Mount Ruang Alert Level II to Alert Level III. As of Wednesday, 17 April 0315 HRS UTC+7, Mount Ruang erupted again at 0130 HRS UTC+7 and several location experienced volcanic ash rain. Communication network also experienced disrupted in Laingpatehi Island.
