Update on Series of Earthquake with Maximum M6.5 Earthquake in Java Sea, Indonesia, as of 22 March, 1800 HRS UTC+7

Impacts and Damages Assessments are still ongoing

1. SEQUENCE OF EVENTS (on 22 Mar) - Significant Earthquake:
- 1122 HRS UTC+7: M6.0 (corrected to M5.9 by BMKG) with 10 Km depth, located 132 km Northeast of Tuban, East Java;
- 1231 HRS UTC+7: M5.3 with 10 Km depth, located 133 km Northeast of Tuban, East Java;
- 1552 HRS UTC+7: M6.5 with 10 Km depth, located 130 km Northeast of Tuban, East Java;

2. As of 1800 HRS UTC+7, there are 58 foreshocks and aftershocks recorded with M2.7 - M6.0 (BMKG).

3. EFFORTS:
- East Java Province BPBD continues to coordinate with the affected Regencies/Cities BPBD.
- BPBD for East Java Province also maintains coordination with the Regional Health Crisis Center (Puskris) for East Java.
- The Surabaya City BPBD is preparing an Emergency Evacuation Tent located at Unair Hospital in Surabaya.
- BPBD in East Java Province and affected cities/regencies are continuing their assessments on the impacts and damages as well as coordinating with relevant authorities.
- BPBD in the affected cities/regencies are urging residents to remain vigilant and coordinate with the relevant authorities.
