This event is under monitoring and AHA Centre will update the page once new information become available = = Update as of 23 April 2018 = National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) reported the following updates on the situation. 1) Deaths: 2 2) Injured: 21 3) IDPs: 2,125 4) Damaged houses: 465 (144 heavily damaged, 125 moderate damage and 196 light damage) 5) Damaged mosques: 4 6) Damaged school: 4 (1 junior high school and 3 elementary school 7) Personnel deployed: 641 8) Evacuation sites: 4 9) President of Republic of Indonesia visited Kasinoman Village and provide support to affected people. = Update as of 21 April 2018 = National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) reported the following updates on the situation. 1) Deaths: 2 2) Injured: 21 3) IDPs: 3506 4) Damaged houses: 201 5) Damaged mosques: 4 6) Damaged school: 1 7) Personnel deployed: 641 8) Evacuation sites: 4 9) Immediate needs: water, food, family kit, hygiene kit, diapers, tarpaulin. = Update as of 19 April 2018 = National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) reported the following updates on the situation. 1) Deaths: 2 2) Injuries: 21 3) Damaged houses: 316 (217 in Kasinoman, 62 in Kertosari and 37 in Plorengan Villages). 4) IDPs: 2104 people / 526 families in 4 villages (Kasinoman, kertosari, Plorengan and Sidakangen) in Kalibening District. 5) 180 personnel from BPBD Banjarnegara, Indonesian Army, Police, Basarnas, Red Cross and volunteers are on the ground providing assistance. 6) BPBD Central Java Province and BNPB provide assistance and dispatch TRC team. 7) Urgent needs: food, clean water, portable toilet, volunteers for debris removal. = Initial report, as of 18 April 2018 = Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics (BMKG) of Indonesia reported a M 4.4 earthquake, with the epicenter located at 7.21 South, 109.65 East or 52 km north of Kebumen Regency, Central Java Province, at a depth of 4 km below ground surface (very shallow). The earthquake occurred at 18 April 2018, 13.28 UTC+7. Earthquake intensity was reported at MMI II-III in nearby regencies. Initial statement from Banjarnegara Regency Local Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and National Disaster Management Authority (BNPB) suggests that hundreds of houses in Kalibening District, Banjarnegara Regency have been damaged (around 90% of the built environment). Around 500 people (136 families) directly affected, with injuries reported. Initial response 1) BPBD Banjarnegara Regency rapid response team (TRC) is currently assessing the extent of damages. 2) Injured people have been treated by local health center (puskesmas) and nearby hospitals) 3) Displaced people have been evacuated to public buildings in Kertosari Village of the affected district.
