Description
On June 9, 2024, an eruption occurred at Mount Ibu in North Maluku, Indonesia, at 18:01 WIT. The observed ash column reached approximately 5,000 meters above the summit (approximately 6,325 meters above sea level). The ash column appeared gray to black, with moderate to thick intensity, leaning toward the west and northwest. The eruption was recorded on a seismogram with a maximum amplitude of 28 mm and a temporary duration of approximately 1 minute and 33 seconds.
