Description
Heavy rain affected Sumatra and Java over the last week, causing widespread floods and leading to casualties and damage. According to the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance (AHA), 1,250 people have been affected and 251 buildings damaged in Bungo Regency (Jambi Province, Sumatra). In Tuban Regency (East Java Province), 6 villages have been flooded, leaving 410 people affected and 519 houses damaged. For the next 24 hours, moderate to heavy rain with thunderstorms is forecast over East Java Province and moderate rain is expected across Jambi Province.
