➢ Chronology: Triggered by heavy rainfall, a slope collapsed and reportedly buried two tourists from Karawang. According to statements from the victims’ three companions, the victims were taking photographs in the area surrounding Curug Cileat waterfall when the companions heard a rumbling sound and immediately fled the area. However, the two victims were unable to escape and were reportedly buried by the landslide on Friday, 15 May 2026.

➢ Chronology: Triggered by heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds on Friday, 15 May 2026, lasting from 13:30 WIB to 17:00 WIB, several rivers overflowed, including the Peucangpari, Cimaur, Cibeurih, Cilaki, Ciminyak, and Cisimet Rivers. This resulted in flooding and landslides in several areas of Lebak Regency on Friday, 15 May 2026, at approximately 13:30 WIB, with floodwater depths ranging from approximately 30 to 60 cm.
