Description

Flood has inundated six villages in Sei Lepan and Babalan subdistrict, Langkat District, North Sumatra Province. The flood was caused by the overflow of Sei Lepan and Sei Pelawi rivers. The Disaster Management Authority of Langkat (BPBD) reported that 526 families were affected with 29 families being evacuated to the evacuation contres. The flood has also damaged 128 ha of agriculture areas. Responses have been conducted by the local authority by assessing the losses, evacuating the victims and distributing relief items.
