Description

After battered by rain for several days, flood inundated villages in Nunukan and Bulungan Districts, North Kalimantan Province. In Nunukan, due to the overflow of the Sebakung river, 30 villages were flooded. After assessing the damages, the Rapid Response Team reported that the flood had caused 1 death and affected 1,487 families. Further, 5,037 houses and several government buildings were reportedly submerged. Meanwhile in Bulungan, five subdistricts were inundated. The local authority evacuated and served 296 evacuees. As of today, the local authority is still providing assistance to the victims.
