Description
On 10 September 2019, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) located East of Visayas has developed into a Tropical Depression (TD). It was named “MARILYN” and entered the Philippine Area Of Responsibility (PAR) on 12 September 2019 at 9:30 AM. TD “MARILYN” generally moved northeastward.
As of 14 September 2019 at 8:00 PM, "MARILYN" has weakened into a Low Pressure Area and is now outside the PAR.
A total of 1,726 families or 8,412 persons were affected by the effects of Tropical Depression “Marilyn” in 25 barangays in Region IX, XI and XII.
A total of 110 families or 545 persons are currently taking temporary shelter with their relatives and/or friends in Region XI and XII.
There are 36 damaged houses; of which, 16 are totally damaged and 20 are partially damaged in Region XII.
A total of ₱668,762.50 worth of assistance was provided to the affected families/persons; of which ₱614,762.50 was provided by DSWD and ₱54,000.00 from LGU.
The event is within the management of sub-national resources.
