Health Crisis Center of Ministry of Health reported flash flood in Merangin Regency, Jambi Province, on 17 April 2018, on 00.02 local time.

Three districts have been affected, namely Bungo, Bukit Perentak and Sei Nilau districts. The average water depth was around 60 - 100 cm. In total 95 houses have been inundated, and as a result 95 families temporarily displaced. Four local health facilities (Polindes and Posyandu) have been damaged.
