Viet Nam, Storms, Landslides, and Strong Winds in Tuyen Quang and Lam Dong

According to Quick Report No. 05/BC-CCTL dated July 10, 2025 of the Irrigation Department of Tuyen Quang province, heavy rain from July 9-10, 2025 caused 50 houses to have their roofs blown off; 13 houses evacuated due to the risk of landslides; 20m of road collapsed (50m3 of soil and rock); 80m of canal damaged. Estimated damage is about 800 million VND.



Immediately after the disaster occurred, local authorities mobilized forces to guide people to overcome the consequences and count the damage.

Update as of 11 July:
According to a quick report from Tuyen Quang and Lam Dong provinces, heavy rain, tornadoes, and lightning caused damage in the afternoon and night of July 10 as follows:

- Regarding people: 01 person died due to lightning strike (Tuyen Quang);
- Home: 07 houses had their roofs blown off (Lam Dong);
- Regarding agriculture: 0.66 hectares of rice and 16 fruit trees were damaged (Lam Dong).
- Regarding traffic: Landslide at 01 inter-commune road point.
