According to Quick Report No. 1560/BC-SNNMT dated March 18, 2026, from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lai Chau province, from March 16-17, 2026, hailstorms and strong winds occurred in the three communes of Bum To, Nam Hang, and Pa U, causing one house to collapse, 31 houses to have their roofs blown off, and one power pole to fall.
Following the natural disaster, local authorities mobilized on-site forces to assist residents in repairing damaged homes and stabilizing their lives.
