According to Quick Report No. 281/BCN-CCTL dated April 11, 2025 of the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Binh Duong province, thunderstorms and whirlwinds occurred on the evening of April 10, 2025 in Tan Uyen city and Phu Giao district, causing the following damage: 01 death (Child Tong Thi Ngoc Nha, born in 2009, due to a thunderstorm causing a tree to fall on her); 38 houses had their roofs blown off and damaged; 1.5 hectares of rubber trees and fruit trees were affected; 02 cars were damaged.
Immediately after the disaster, local authorities visited and encouraged families with victims; mobilized local forces to support people to overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives.
The ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet) is a repository of information concerning hazards and disasters that have happened in the region. The platform is open for public, which means that the public can submit information about any hazard and disaster to the AHA Centre. Thereafter, the AHA Centre will verify and validate any submitted information to ensure the accuracy of the data inputs. The AHA Centre can also add new information when relevant and as necessary. ADINet has been recording disaster information in the region since the AHA Centre was operational in 2012.
