Deep flooding divides many areas. The rain has stopped but the flood water recedes slowly, people are worried that if the rain continues, there will be "flood of flood".


From the night of October 15 and the morning of October 16, in Quang Binh continued to rain, causing water levels in rivers, causing flooding in many areas. In Le Thuy district, the water of the Kien Giang River has also reached an alarming level of 3, causing flooding in many villages.


According to a quick report of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue cum Civil Defense of Quang Binh province, in Le Thuy district up to now, 256 houses have been flooded. In addition, the water also flooded many villages, hundreds of houses were surrounded by water.

Before the events of floods, Le Thuy district also planned to relocate more than 3,600 households with more than 11,000 people in deeply flooded areas in communes: An Thuy, Loc Thuy, Xuan Thuy, Phong Thuy, Lien Thuy, Son Thuy, Kien Giang town, Hong Thuy, Phu Thuy, My Thuy. The main plan is to move to high-rise buildings and permanent houses.

Many houses are still submerged in flood water even though the rain has stopped. As of this afternoon (October 16), in Quang Binh the rain has decreased, but the flood water level has not shown any sign of receding. Besides, the news of a new storm in the East Sea is also making people in the Le Thuy flood area very worried.
