Thailand, Storms in Maha Sarakham

On August 8, 2015, Maha Sarakham Province experienced heavy rain and strong winds affecting 5 districts, 9 sub-districts, and 18 villages, as follows:

Khao Rai Sub-district, Samrong Sub-district (Na Chueak District), Khok Ko Sub-district, Nong No Sub-district, Tha Song Khon Sub-district (Mueang District), Khaen Sub-district, Wapi Pathum District, Yang Sub-district, and Nong Ko Sub-district.

In Borabue District (Non Phiban Sub-district) and Kae Dam District, initial reports indicated that 48 houses, 31 animal pens, 2 rice barns, and 2 temple pavilions were damaged.

No casualties or injuries were reported. The Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, together with district authorities, police officers, local administrative organizations, volunteers, foundations, and other related agencies, have provided assistance to the affected areas.
