1) Nakhon Ratchasima Province
On 5 March 2026 at 19:40, a thunderstorm with strong gusty winds caused streetlight poles to collapse onto the median guardrail at Km.184 of Motorway M6 (inbound to Nakhon Ratchasima), before the Kham Thale So toll plaza, Kham Thale So Sub-district, Kham Thale So District.
A total of 8 light poles fell over a distance of approximately 300 meters. The incident did not obstruct traffic, and no injuries or fatalities were reported.
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Provincial Office in Nakhon Ratchasima, together with district authorities, local administrative organizations, the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), volunteers, foundations, and the M6 rescue unit, carried out pole removal and traffic facilitation.
2) Sisaket Province
On 4 March 2026 at 13:30, a windstorm occurred in Khukhan District, affecting 1 district, 6 sub-districts, and 21 villages (Huai Tai, Huai Nuea, Lom Sak, Chakong, Dong Kamet, and Takhian Sub-districts).
Preliminary reports indicate:
58 houses damaged
3 farm structures damaged
42 livestock pens damaged
2 rice barns damaged
No injuries or fatalities reported
The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Provincial Office in Sisaket, together with district officials, police officers, local administrative organizations, volunteers, and foundations, conducted damage assessments and provided initial assistance.
