Flooding occurred in 3 provinces (Mae Hong Son, Nan, and Phrae), affecting 3 districts, 4 sub-districts, and 5 villages. 30 households and 111 people were affected. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
1) Mae Hong Son Province: On 15 August, at 9:00 a.m., heavy rain caused flash floods in 1 district, 1 sub-district, and 2 villages.
Mae Yuam Noi Subdistrict (Villages 2 and 7) in Khun Yuam District. Initial damage to the temporary wooden bridge in front of Mae Kopi School and the bridge over the Mae Lakha River was reported. No injuries or fatalities were reported. The Lampang Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, volunteers, foundations, and relevant agencies surveyed the damage and provided initial assistance. The situation is currently improving.
2) In Nan Province, on 15 August, at 7:00 a.m., heavy rain caused flash floods in 1 district, 2 sub-districts, and 2 villages, as follows: Namtok Subdistrict (Village No. 5), Sathan Subdistrict (Village No. 4), and Na Noi District. Initially, 8 households and 30 people were affected.
There were no injuries or fatalities. Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center Region 15, Chiang Rai, the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, district officials, police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, volunteers, volunteers, foundations, and related agencies surveyed the damage and provided initial assistance.
The situation is currently improving.
3) In Phrae Province, on 15 August, at 5:00 AM, heavy rain caused flash floods in 1 district, 1 sub-district, and 1 village.
As follows: Ban Wiang Subdistrict (Village 5), Rong Kwang District. Initially, 22 households and 81 people were affected, and one power pole was downed.
There were no injuries or fatalities. Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center Region 15, Chiang Rai, the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, district officials, police, local administrative organizations, volunteers, volunteers, volunteers, foundations, and related agencies surveyed the damage and provided initial assistance.
