Description

Krabi Province: On July 1, 2026, at 5:00 PM, continuous rainfall caused the Krabi Yai Canal to overflow, flooding areas in
1 district, 2 subdistricts, 4 villages, 1 municipality, and 3 communities, namely: Thap Prik Subdistrict, Krabi Yai Subdistrict, Krabi Municipality (Ruam Jai Community, Muang Kao Pattana Community, and Tha Khlong Community) in Mueang District. Initially, 100 households were affected, and there were no injuries.
There were no fatalities. The Disaster Relief Center Region 18 Phuket, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office of Krabi Province, district officials, police officers, local administrative organizations, volunteers, disaster relief volunteers, and foundations, along with related agencies, provided assistance in moving belongings to higher ground, expediting water drainage from the area, and establishing two temporary shelters: at Municipal School 1 Ban Talat Kao and the Ban Talat Kao Mosque. 30 households and 67 people were evacuated.
The situation has now eased.
