Thailand, Flooding in Krabi

Krabi Province would like to report the flood situation on October 11, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. as follows:
1. On October 11, 2024 at approximately 7:00 a.m., a flash flood inundated houses in Khao Phanom District. and Nuea Khlong District, 3 sub-districts, 4 villages, 36 households, 113 people were affected (no injuries or deaths) as follows:
1.1 Khao Phanom District, Village No. 10, Phru Tiew Sub-district, 1 household, 3 people were affected (the situation has improved)
1.2 Nuea Khlong District, 3 villages, 2 sub-districts, approximately 35 households, approximately 110 people were affected, and 1 temple (the situation has improved) as follows:
- Village No. 2, Ban Huai Mat, Huai Yuang Sub-district, Wat Khok Khiam
- Village No. 3, Ban Khuan Nok Wa, Khok Yang Sub-district, approximately 15 households, approximately 50 people
- Village No. 6, Ban Na Luang, Khok Yang Sub-district, approximately 20 households, approximately 60 people
3. Assistance Khao Phanom District and Nuea Khlong District have informed the people to move their belongings to higher ground. and went to the area to inspect the damage to provide initial assistance to the people.
4. The situation trend at 10.30 a.m. There was no rain in Khao Phanom and Nuea Khlong districts. The situation is starting to improve, but the situation is still being monitored continuously.
5. The Krabi Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command Center has emphasized that the District Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command Center/Local Administrative Organization and related agencies must monitor and follow the situation of flash floods, forest runoff, and continuous flooding, including preparing tools, materials, equipment, machinery, and personnel to provide assistance 24 hours a day when requested.
