Description
Chiang Rai Province: Heavy rainfall on August 10–11, 2026, caused flooding in 1 district, 1 sub-district, and 1 village (Wiang Sub-district, Thoeng District), affecting 42 households (132 people). There were no injuries or fatalities. The Chiang Rai Provincial Office of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, district officials, police, local administrative organizations, civil defense volunteers, and foundations, along with relevant agencies, have mobilized to assist by moving belongings to higher ground and accelerating water drainage from the area. In this regard, the Chiang Rai District 15 Disaster Relief Center has deployed the following machinery: one 10-wheel truck equipped with a 15-ton crane, one disaster victim transport vehicle, one dump truck, and one 14-inch water pump. Water levels have currently receded.
