Thailand, Flooding in Chanthanaburi

Chanthaburi Province, July 27-29, 67, continuous rain and flash floods occurred in the areas of Patthawi Subdistrict, Chaman Subdistrict, Ang Khiri Subdistrict, Makham District, Mappai Subdistrict, Bo Welu Subdistrict, Tok Phrom Subdistrict, Wan Yao Subdistrict, Wang Sapphas Subdistrict, Khlung District, Tha Chang Subdistrict, Bang Kacha Subdistrict, Mueang District, Pong Nam Ron Subdistrict, Pong Nam Ron District. Initially, 3,397 households were affected and 4,122 rai of agricultural land was affected.
Resulting in 1 death (female) aged 14 years. The cause of death is under investigation by officials.
Chanthaburi Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center Region 17, Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, local military units, districts, local administrative organizations, volunteers, volunteer defense corps, volunteers, and relevant agencies are expediting initial assistance and draining water from the area.
Currently, flooding continues in Makham, Khlung and Pong Nam Ron districts. The water level has decreased.
