Ho Chi Minh City: Heavy rainfall from the night of 5 October to the morning of 6 October caused 75 houses and 20 kiosks to be inundated. The water has now receded, and residents have returned to their homes. A total of 166.5 ha of rice and other crops were inundated; low-lying areas remain flooded, but the water is gradually receding.

1. Dien Bien, Son La, and Ha Tinh Provinces: On 4 October, thunderstorms, strong winds, and lightning caused the following impacts:  - Casualties: 4 people were injured by lightning strikes in Son La Province.  - Houses: 35 houses had their roofs damaged or blown off (13 in Dien Bien and 22 in Ha Tinh).  - Other damages: 3 ha of rice and crops were damaged, 16 livestock shelters were damaged, and 70 m of fencing collapsed (in Dien Bien).Immediately following the disaster, local authorities conducted visits and provided assistance to the affected families, mobilised resources to support residents in clearing and repairing the damage, and facilitated the early restoration of normal living conditions.

1) Chiang Mai Province:On 4 October 2026, a windstorm occurred in Ban Chan Subdistrict, Galyani Vadhana District, damaging 2 houses. In Ban Aen Subdistrict, Doi Tao District, houses were also damaged, and a large tree fell across Road 1103 (Hot–Doi Tao). No injuries or fatalities were reported.The Chiang Mai Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office (DDPM), Chiang Mai DDPM Hot Branch Office, district authorities, Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), police officers, local administrative organisations, civil volunteers, civil defence volunteers, volunteers, foundations, and other relevant agencies have provided assistance.2) Lampang Province:On 4 October 2026, a windstorm occurred in Ban Rong Subdistrict, Ngao District, causing electricity poles to collapse and resulting in a power outage. A total of 89 houses were affected. No injuries or fatalities were reported.The Lampang Provincial DDPM, district authorities, PEA, police officers, local administrative organisations, civil volunteers, civil defence volunteers, volunteers, foundations, and other relevant agencies have provided assistance. Officials from the Provincial Electricity Authority, Wang Nuea Branch, are carrying out repairs and are expected to restore electricity to residents within 1–2 days.

Lam Dong Province: From 2–6 October, heavy rainfall accompanied by lightning damaged 1 house and inundated 54 houses. The water has now receded, and residents have returned to their homes. A total of 1,557 ha of rice and 79 ha of other crops were inundated; low-lying areas remain flooded, but the water is gradually receding. Landslides occurred at 1 location along National Highway 27C and 12 locations along provincial roads; all have been cleared and the roads reopened to traffic. Several other properties were also damaged by lightning strikes. Estimated damages amounted to approximately VND 16 billion.

Rice crops are beginning to face the risk of disrupted growth and, if an adequate water supply is not provided promptly, may potentially experience crop failure.
