Description

Heavy rain that poured Thailand over the last few days has caused flooding in northeast provinces. The water in many river systems have increased significantly that inundated the downstream and low-lying areas. In Ayutthaya Province, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation office reported that the flood has inundated 9,940 houses in six districts. Flood also submerged more than 1,000 rai (160 ha) of farmland in Nakhon Phanom Province. Currently, the authority issues alert and warning for potential flooding for people living near the main river system such as Mekong River, Chi River, etc.
