Description

Adding to the flood incident in Phattalung and Nakhon Si Thammarat that has not been over yet, high intensity rainfall has also caused flooding in the southern provinces of Thailand which included Yala and Narathiwat. About 41 villages in Yala and 13 villages in Narathiwat were reportedly affected. IMPACT (in Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat) - 3 death. - 3 injured. - 44,524 families / 159,980 people have been affected. - 2,362 people were evacuated. - 19 houses were damaged. - 2,387 ha of plantation were affected. As of now, totally 7 (seven) provinces have been affected by flood since 14 December (i.e. Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phattalung, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat).The incident has claimed for 7 death. RESPONSE - The government have responded the situation by providing evacuation and distributing relief items.
