Description

As reported by the Dept. of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), 39 provinces have declared drought. Some of them mostly in the North and Northeast area, including Tak, Nan, Sukhothai, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Buri Ram, Kalasin, Udon Thani and Nakhon Ratchasima. The incident was reportedly affected 27,358 villages. The Governor of Tak Province added that over 150,000 residents were affected by the drought.
