Latest Update as of 21 February 2014:

Drought has extensively affected 3,150 villages, in 55 Districts of 13 Provinces. The provinces are Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Phrae, Tak, Buriram, Mahasarakham , Khon Kaen, Si Sa Ket, Sing Buri , Saraburi , Chachoengsao, Chanthaburi and Prachin Buri.

Based on the Summary Report on 28 January 2014 of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation - Ministry of Interior, drought has affected several provinces in Thailand.

The affected provinces are as follows:
1. Konkan Province declared drought in 12 districts.
2. Mahasarakam Province declared drought in 1 district.
3. Buri Ram Province declared drought in 1 district.
4. Singburi Province declared drought in 5 districts.
5. Uttaradit Province declared drought in 1 districts.

as of 9 February 2014, 9 provinces have been reported experiencing drought

Impact
The affected area and population covered 1,163 villages and (estimated) 290,000 families from December 11, 2013.
