Description

The Tail-End of a Cold Front has brought cloudy skies with potential thunderstorm and rainshower to Region IX, X, XII and ARMM. This condition has triggered flood and landslide in those areas. Based on the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDDRMC) Report No.2 (as of March 12th) 4,354 families or 21,636 people were affected by this incident. It has also caused 2 deaths and 1 missing. On of the effect happened in Sarangani Province where Kalaong and Tual rivers in Sarangani Province were reportedly overflowed due to the continuous heavy rain. The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) reported that 43 families in Maitum and Kiamba towns were pre-emptively evacuated toward the situation. PDRRMO added that one man was killed because of the flood.
