Description
At 10:00 PM of 17 February 2012, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) at 380 Km southwest of Puerto Princesa City, where the tail end of a cold front affecting Northern Luzon. The LPA brings cold front, rainshowers and thunderstorms that cause flooding/flashflood and landslide in certain areas A total of 6,000 families / 29,589 persons have been affected in 96 barangays of 11 municipalities in 4 provinces of Regions VIII, X and Caraga. Of the number affected, 709 families / 3,710 are currently served both inside and outside evacuation centers Total number served inside 17 evacuation centers - 641 families / 3,074 persons Total Served outside evacuation centers - 207 families / 1,162 persons CASUALTIES (2-Dead; 1-Missing) The estimated cost of damages to agriculture region wide is PhP 40,099,427.25 Five (5) houses were damaged in Jabonga, Agusan del Norte, Caraga Region (3 Totally & 2 Partially) · Three (3) were partially damaged in Sitio Bankerohan, Brgy. Fishing Village, Malita, Davao del Sur, Region XI Two (2) bridges are currently impassable due to incurred damages brought about by the present LPA. Diversion, Conception, del Rosario, Cararayan, San Felipe, and P. Tuazon in Naga City, Camarines Sur experienced a power outage due to damaged 20 MV transformers. Power was redirected from Pili and Calabanga to supply the households of the affected areas
