Description

On 15 July 2025, 2:00 PM, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 07f) was monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility

(PAR) and had a "MEDIUM" potential to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours. At 3:00 PM, the LPA

07f was estimated based at 1,040 km East of Southeastern Luzon (13.0°N, 133.3°E). Southwest Monsoon affecting the

rest of the country.

On 16 July 2025, 8:00 AM, the LPA 07f being monitored inside the PAR developed into Tropical Depression "CRISING".

At 11:00 PM, “CRISING” slightly intensifies as it moves northwestward over the sea east of Bicol Region. Tropical

Cyclone Wind Signals (TCWS) No. 1 was hoisted in Luzon. The southeastern portion of Cagayan (Gattaran, Baggao,

Peñablanca), the eastern portion of Isabela (Maconacon, Divilacan, Palanan, Dinapigue, San Pablo, Tumauini, Ilagan

City, San Mariano, San Guillermo, Benito Soliven, Echague, Jones, San Agustin, Naguilian, City of Cauayan, Angadanan,

Gamu, Cabagan, Reina Mercedes), the northeastern portion of Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, Dinalungan) and the

northeastern portion of Quirino (Maddela).

On 17 July 2025, 11:00 PM, "CRISING" maintains its strength as it moving towards Northern Luzon.

On 18 July 2025, 2:00 AM, "CRISING" slightly accelerates as it maintains its strength over the sea of Aurora. The center

of Tropical Depression CRISING was estimated based on all available data at 350 km East of Casiguran, Aurora (16.3°N,

125.4°E), with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving

Northwestward at 20 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon, western

and central sections of Visayas, and Mindanao.
