Description

The whole Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan islands, and Occidental Mindoro will

experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Southwest

Monsoon. The whole Visayas will have light to moderate winds from Southwest with

slight to moderate seas. The Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental

Mindoro will have moderate to strong winds from Southwest with moderate to rough

seas.

On July 07 and 08, 2025, the municipalities of San Dionisio in Iloilo and Maayon in Capiz

experienced continuous heavy rains which caused flooding in low-lying areas and

barangays near the creeks and riverbanks, which prompted some families to evacuate to

their nearest relatives. At around 2 am, July 11, 2025, several areas in Leganes, Iloilo

also experienced flooding due to continuous heavy rains.

According to the Local Social Welfare and Development Offices (LSWDOs) reports, there

were reported affected and displaced families taking temporary shelter with their relatives

and identified evacuation centers.

DSWD Field Office 6 coordinated with the affected LSWDOs and provided immediate

relief augmentation to the affected and displaced families/persons.
